I'm on two tracks on new country blues CD
« on: April 08, 2014, 07:31:49 AM »
Hey everyone. Just wanted to let you know about a new country blues album by English guitarist/singer Simon Field. He did a great job on it.  I'm playing prewar-style acoustic harmonica on tracks 12 and 15:

You may have already heard track 15, but has recorded vocals. I like the way track 12 "Don't Give My Lard Away" turned out. Thanks for listening!

Awesome!  I love the timing nuances that give it an authentic feel.  Way to go!

Oh yeah, there's a BT this jam with your name on it: Got to Keep My Biscuits Warm.  Check it out!

Great work, Mike!

The cool thing to me is that if I heard these songs and didn't know you were on them, I'd probably recognize your playing style.

Geez, Mike - wish I was paying attention - great work and like Brett says, your signature style and tone shines through - loved what you did on these tracks!! Would have been nice to see credit given for your work on theses (or did I miss something again?)

Thanks Hank. He gives me credit on the CD info and on the tracks. Turned me into a Dane (Petersen vs. Peterson) but he's from England and I think they have more familiarity with that spelling from way back with the Vikings from Denmark and Norway and the Norman conquest :).

I know I'm late to this thread, B.I.G., but congratulations on getting recorded, mate.

They are good. Some nice Bass in there.

Do you produce for local MCs?
