Working on BTs for new jam
« on: January 21, 2014, 07:16:49 PM »
I could have as many as 20 new BTs for the start of the new jam.  It will be February and so yes, one of them will again be the chords to My Funny Valentine.  But this year will feature Ron Carter on bass and Kenny Barron on piano.  Seriously!  Later in the jam I'll have BTs that feature Pat Martino and Phil Woods.  Don't worry, lotsa blues tracks, MOSTLY blues tracks.  I have some new blues guitar tracks to work with and the results sound good IMHO.  And I have some awesome new blues pianos, they will make you want to pick up your harps.  Usually BTs that don't swing don't get played, but 'One Night Only - Ivory Ike' might change all that.  I also made a smooth jazz BT and another big band track called 'Addicted to Horn.'

Any requests, let me know.

Thanks, guys, I am getting better at it each jam.  But I will be remixing Boogie Monger and Bad Hand Shuffle, the guitar is way too loud.  And I'll probably change That Funny Gal of Mine from 110 bpm to 95.  110 is in the Real Book, but I think slower is probably better for our purposes.  Other opinions always welcome, of course.

And thanks, again, to Rick for keeping the jam going!

I am not going to be able to remix Bad Hand Shuffle and Boogie Monger as planned, so I am just going to take them down.  If you're working on one of them, stop!  :  )
