Yeah like they all say - so much appreciate what you do for us. - Funny, I could never figure out why "upgrades" end up causing so many problems!!

That is some fine playing there BinG! Great authentic harp tone and riffs. As a new resonator player, I love the combined sound. Lots of good ideas here for me for playing blues on the reso and combining with the harp. Many thanks

Recording Tips & Tricks / Re: Recording two tracks (dobro and harp)

That's great Bob - thanks. I'll start checking into it and play around to see what I can get!! This certainly is a great starting point. Much appreciated.

Modified after a while - got it Bob - actually a little easier than I thought. So now I'll play around and record something trying the balance you mention.!! Thanks again

Recording Tips & Tricks / Recording two tracks (dobro and harp)
« on: March 06, 2013, 03:51:21 PM »
How do you go about recording two separate tracks to have them more distinct? I just record the one and then go back and record another. Some of the comments on my 'dobro/harp' recordings seem to suggest separating them more. WOuld you do this by recording in stereo (one track for each?) I'm not sure what 'separating them more' would involve and if it is possible given my limited equipment.

Any ideas out there?? Thanks

Got something in for the site Rick. Many thanks for all you do!!

Main Stage / New Years Resolution ??
« on: January 05, 2013, 03:47:59 PM »
Or maybe New Jam Resolution - I will only take the time to listen and comment on songs posted by those who take the time to comment on my posts. - I am prepared to hear why I should do otherwise but I am getting tired of the one way street in so many cases.

BUT I gotta thank those that do take the time and have commented and helped me over the many jams I've been a member. You guys are great and make this site what it is!!

Misc. Conversation / Re: O.T. Whats doin??

I'd be game to give it a go. Lately I've been happy to get any comment at all. When I comment on every single post and only get 4 - 6 of the regular guys commenting, I'm sort of WTF, I participate to learn so why bother. Thanks to the guys who do regularly comment!!

I guess I'm guilty of not being too critical or offering suggestions in my comments but if that was the purpose of the Open Mic like you are saying, I'd try it. Usually I post on a first or second go and kind of assume that others do as well so figure its more of a slip up and the person knows it. I won't go back to record again and again just to get it perfect (again because if not many comment, why bother).

I've stayed away from OPen Mic because to me it's the same as Main Stage so I just post there and listen/comment there. But if that's the forum for posting F Ups and looking for help then no points needed just suggestions. Have I got your idea right Bruce??

Nicely done Veijo - especially liked the articulation and timing/rhythmic patterns you used on this old classic. Love those low harps!!
