Button Pushing on a Chrom
« on: March 07, 2013, 05:14:53 PM »
I was just re-reading some stuff on Harp On Chromatic reference and the discussion was about cupping a Chrom and various techniques for pushing in on the button. Some favor using the pad of the index finger some guys use their thumb, I just wanted to add that depending on the song, an alternate method that I like using is to use both techniques alternating between the thumb and index finger. It works especially well when I'm playing really fast stuff like trying to follow a  Smooth Jazz sax note for note. Anyway, I've been away for a little while but I'm back now. Should be posting something soon. Thanks

Rick

Yeah sometimes I find myself shuffling between my thumb and index in a trumpet player fashion . Works most of the time.
